Hazelwood is home to Boeing’s Defense, Space & Security division. Its portfolio includes manned and unmanned aircraft programs, space and satellite systems, intelligence and security systems, and extensive integration expertise. The division is divided into five units: Boeing Military Aircraft, Global Services and Support, Network and Space Systems, Boeing Phantom Works and BDS Development.
Part of Boeing’s main campus north of Lambert International is located in Hazelwood. The city also hosts several additional offices in the Brown Campus office park.
With Boeing’s expansion of 777X production to St. Louis, Hazelwood will host about 200 additional engineering jobs with the bulk of new jobs to be located at other facilities in North St. Louis County. Boeing Defense is home to world-class aircraft such as the F/A-18 SuperHornet, EA-18G Growler and the F-15 Eagle. Boeing also hosts its Phantom Works advanced R&D facility adjacent to Hazelwood. This is home to highly advanced projects, including the cutting-edge Phantom Eye reconnaissance drone.
